City of Adelaide 2016 - 2020 Strategic Plan

Consultation has concluded.

Thank you for your input. Following extensive public consultation and stakeholder engagement Council has arrived at a vision for the City: Adelaide is a welcoming and dynamic city full of rich and diverse experiences. The City of Adelaide 2016-2020 Strategic Plan tells Adelaide’s growth story and articulates an agenda for strong growth over the next four years.

The Strategic Plan consists of four key themes Smart, Green, Liveable and Creative, underpinned by objectives and 110 actions to demonstrate Council’s commitment to tangible results.

Council invites you to play a role in shaping the future of the city of Adelaide.

The draft City of Adelaide 2016 - 2020 Strategic Plan is Adelaide City Council’s vision for the future of Adelaide and our blueprint for the next four years. Adelaide is a smart, green, liveable, boutique city full of rich experiences.

Our vision will be reached by achieving our primary goal, themes, objectives and actions. Our principles will ensure we grow while maintaining and enhancing the many things you already love about Adelaide.

The four themes outline areas of attention. Each theme has measurable objectives and deliverable actions for the City. These will be achieved by working closely with our partners and community over the next four years.

Tell us what you think about the proposed plan and how you would like to participate in its delivery to achieve our shared vision.

Background

Last year, over 2,000 people were involved in a major community engagement project called Picture Adelaide 2040. People shared what they loved about Adelaide, what a possible future for our city could look like and what are the major challenges and opportunities we face. The results of Picture Adelaide 2040 directly informed the development of the draft City of Adelaide 2016 - 2020 Strategic Plan. We are now seeking your feedback on the draft Strategic Plan. Check out the video to hear about the Picture Adelaide 2040 project.
