The Australian International 3 Day - Event

This consultation has concluded.

Council has received an application from the Australian International 3 Day Event for the use of Victoria Park / Bakkabakkandi, Ityamaiitpinna (Park 15) and Rymill Park / Mullawirraburka for the Australian International 3 Day Event to take place from 22 November to 25 November 2012.

The event set up is scheduled to start on 29 October 2012 with all infrastructure removed by 7 December 2012. Riders and grooms remain onsite form Monday 19 November to maintain the welfare and security of the horses.

Installation of the jumps in the East Park Lands begin on 3 September 2012 and their removal is complete by 10 December 2012. Access to the East Park Lands will ot be affected during the insatllation of the horse jumps.

It is anticipated that the 4 days of events will attract approximately 20,000 people.

Opening hours are proposed from 8:30 am to 6 pm on the Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, with closing on the Friday set for 10 pm.

A pre-sold ticketed function on the Saturday in Victoria Park / Bakkabakkandi runs from 7 pm until midnight.
